Washington Park is conveniently located on Meridian Street next to the City of Groton Municipal Building. The 32.9-acre park includes three baseball fields, two softball fields, playground equipment, tennis courts, outdoor fitness circuit, volleyball area, two full-length basketball courts and outdoor pavilions. The park also features a Workers' Memorial, honoring those who have died or been injured on the job.
Built on land donated to the City of Groton in 1931 by resident George Marquardt, Washington Park is a centralized meeting point and athletic center for the area.

Picnic Pavilion Rentals
Washington Park has six (6) picnic pavilions, each with charcoal grills - a perfect place to relax and socialize during those lazy days of summer. Military personnel receive a 10% discount. Pavilions are available for rental in 4-hour blocks.
