City Day
Save the date! The 40th Anniversary City Day event will take place on Friday, August 1, 2025, from 5 - 8 pm in Washington Park. This year's celebration will expand on past year's, offering more activities, games, and a Concert in the Park (beginning at 7 pm).
PLEASE NOTE! We have moved the event location within the park - this year's festivities will take place off of Park Avenue (near pavilions 1 - 3 and the Little League Baseball fields) - the portion of the park closest to the Municipal Building.
We love the City of Groton and take pride in providing top-notch services for our residents. We also love showing and telling you all about what we do here in the City. City Day is a celebration of all things City of Groton and an opportunity for City employees to showcase what their departments are responsible for and what they do within the City and Groton Utilities.

A DJ will be there all evening to keep the celebration in high gear; and the winner of the Jacqueline Nixon Community Service Award will be announced.
