The mooring area in Pine Island Bay has several empty mooring spaces in the commercial and general public areas.

Commission members attended meetings of the Connecticut Harbor Management Association.

During the fiscal year, the Commission reviewed several permit applications.

The City of Groton Harbor Management Plan can be viewed on the www.cityofgroton.com website.

All moorings require a mooring permit, including residential moorings. A vessel owner requesting a mooring permit shall complete and submit a permit along with current registration, proof of liability insurance and provide the necessary fee to the Harbormaster. Mooring permit applications are available from the Harbor Master or they can be downloaded from the www.cityofgroton.com or the State of Connecticut Department of Transportations websites.
