Annual Report of the City of Groton Conservation Commission 2008-2009
The Conservation Commission members acting as the Inland Wetlands Regulatory Agency for the City of Groton continued activity near wetlands by landowners planning to build homes. The Commissioners approved 5 permits for activities within or near the wetland buffer zone. The commission approved a contract to update the city inland wetlands map.The present commissioners have maintained the DEP Inland Wetland Training certification. Members attended the Annual Meeting and Environmental Conference of the Connecticut Association of Conservation & Inland Wetlands Commissions.
