All concerts are held in the City of Groton Municipal Building Auditorium on Sundays at 3:00 p.m. through March. They are held in an intimate setting and provide spectators with an opportunity to hear smaller musical groups. The City Cabaret concert series is co-sponsored and co-produced by Groton Utilities and the City of Groton Parks and Recreation Department. Musical ensembles appearing during the past season were: Andy Sherwood’s New Orleans Connection; The Obrien Strings, a classical trio; High Society, the jazz unit of the Westerly Band; and Jack Madry, a jazz pianist. There is no entrance fee, and no alcohol is allowed. The concert schedule is available on both the City’s and Groton Utilities’ web sites. The concert info line is 446-4128.
